Price adjustments summer 2022

Unrest in the transport market and a large discrepancy between supply and demand, we notify you of adjustments to our surcharges and prices.

We are also renaming fuel surcharges to energy surcharges for domestic services,  and an energy surcharge will be introduced to our storage services.

Domestic distribution

We are experiencing an increased price level for all services and goods in Norway. For example, purchasing new equipment and maintaining existing equipment is becoming more expensive than earlier.

Stricter rules due to the EU's mobility package result in fewer available trucks in Norway. In general, there is much less capacity available in the market. We also notice domestic train prices are rising, affecting transport via rail.

A general price increase for all B2B and B2C domestic services of 4.5% from 1st of July.

Tolls are excluded from price adjustments on domestic services and are always charged per current rates.

Fuel surcharge is renamed Energy surcharge from 1st of June

Our trucks run on diesel, biodiesel and electricity. All raw material prices affect our costs.

With this in mind, the item on the invoice, which was previously called fuel surcharge, will be renamed to energy surcharge.

Storage services in Norway

Persistently high electricity prices force us to introduce energy surcharges on warehousing and storage services. The surcharge is calculated based on the warehouse rent. We will adjust this surcharge accordingly with a significant rise or fall in prices.

Energy surcharge Storage of 5,4% is introduced from 1st of July.

Customs services and charges

Based on a general rise in prices for all services in Norway.

Prices for all customs services and charges/fees will be increased by 3.5% from 1st of July.

Road transport Europe – EU Mobility package

We have closely followed the increased costs associated with the introduction of the EU Mobility Package. It turns out that our increase in March does not cover all the increased costs. In an information letter regarding the introduction of the Mobility Package, we announced that the surcharge could be adjusted with 30 days' notice. The changes will be introduced from 1st of July.

  • Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland        8,4%

  • Other European countries                      13,9%

The surcharge is calculated based on the price for transport, and will still appear as a separate item on the invoice.

Rail Italy

There is also a lack of capacity for rail transport from Italy, as well as pre-and post-transport both in Italy and in Norway.

Prices for rail freight from Italy to Norway will increase by 3.5% from 1st of July.

Sea freight Europe

There are capacity challenges in the sea freight market in Europe. Fewer available vessels result in a massive increase in charter prices.

Cost Recovery Surcharge (CRS) increase to 160 euros per teu. NOTE! This change will take effect as of 10th of June.
